HEFLIN — An exhibit opening Friday on Alabama’s history actually stretches back to a time long before the region was even a state.
“Making Alabama,” an exhibit celebrating the state’s upcoming bicentennial, opens at the Heflin Armory. Presented by the Alabama Humanities Foundation, the exhibit features large collages and drawings with interactive tablets. It will travel to all 67 of Alabama’s counties, staying three weeks in each. According to a schedule online, it will reach Calhoun County in mid-August, to be set up at the public library in Anniston.
